Writing Challenge

I heard about an interesting challenge and decided to go for it. The rules are to write 12 books this year -- a book a month. So, I thought it would be fun to keep a record here...

1. COFFEE STAINS AND DRAGONFLIES: WHAT IF BUDDHA WAS A ZEN HIPPIE?

Buddhi isn’t your typical spiritual guide. Named “Buddha” by his free-spirited, hippie parents, he tweaked the name to something that felt a little more down-to-earth. After trading his Ferrari for a beat-up ‘68 VW bus and swapping the chaos of Wall Street for a quiet lotus pond, he’s searching for enlightenment.

2. PEACE, LOVE, AND ZEN VIBES: MINDFUL MUSINGS AND AN ODE TO COFFEE

Buddhi, the quirky, coffee-fueled hippie, is blogging his way to mindfulness, one messy moment at a time. With wisdom as rich as his bad coffee and a sense of humor as irreverent as his beat-up ’68 VW bus, Buddhi shares his musings on life, love, and the art of finding Zen in the chaos.

3. POND-SIDE PHILOSOPHIES: DRAGONFLY WISDOM AND FROG ZEN

Buddhi just wanted to drink coffee and write his book. But when you live by a lotus pond with two highly opinionated philosophers—one a shimmering dragonfly sharing his wisdom, the other a contemplative and slightly grumpy frog who each insist that their way to Zen is the right way—nothing is ever that simple. They decide to write their own books to share their Zen philosophy. And yes, coffee will be spilled.

4. MAGICAL MIND, MAGICAL LIFE: HOW TO LIVE A MAGICAL LIFE, FILLED WITH HAPPINESS AND LIGHT

Your mind is magical. You are magical. Magical Mind, Magical Life is an adventuresome, interactive guide into opening the magical power inside your mind. It offers you a journey of self-discovery and shows you how to create miracles in every moment by using the magical power of your mind to enjoy a happier, more fulfilled life.
Updated: Added 74 pages of additional material and a new cover.

5. MAGICAL MIND GARDENS: GROW YOUR MIND INTO A BEAUTIFUL GARDEN OF HARMONY AND JOY

Your mind is a beautiful, fertile garden that will grow whatever thoughts and feelings you plant. What you plant and cultivate in your mind's garden grows into what you experience. Offers hundreds of magical thoughts and light-filled meditations. Invites you to grow your mind into a beautiful garden of harmony, joy, happiness, and light.
Updated: Added 112 pages of additional material and a new cover.

6. REALITY IS AN ILLUSION: WANT TO PLAY A MAGICAL GAME?

You create your reality from the inside out through your thoughts, feelings, and actions. What you experience in your life is a reflection of what you see and feel in your mind, and in your imagination, before it becomes what you experience. That’s the reality of illusion. Explore the limitless power of your imagination, and manifest a magical life filled with joy, abundance, happiness, and light.

7. QUILLS & CONSEQUENCES

Jaedyn’s life is overflowing with unfinished stories. When Rowan—a hero straight out of her abandoned epic fantasy—knocks on her door, wanting her to finish his story, she refuses, saying she doesn't have time because she has way too many other stories to write. He takes matters into his own hands, hijacking her quill and attempting to write the story himself. That's when things go spectacularly sideways.

8. PORTALS & POSSIBILITIES

Jaedyn’s writing world is in total chaos. When Rowan hijacked her enchanted quill to write his story, Midgi, her tiny purple dragon, tumbles through a portal into the depths of Jaedyn’s half-written worlds. She has to rescue him from a story-verse full of story fragments and characters clamoring for their own books. Worse, the Department of Narrative Police is threatening to shut down all her stories unless she produces outlines. Jaedyn insists she’s a pantser and pantsers don’t do outlines.

9. PLOTTERS & PROBLEMS

Jaedyn’s stories are unraveling faster than she can weave them back together. Rowan, with his plotter energy, offers to “help” get her story-verse in order. Maris, a dimension-hopping librarian, arrives with Dewey, her plotter Pomeranian, to untangle the story threads. Riley falls head over paws in puppy love. Rowan’s long-lost love interest, Karina, steps onto the page and offers to help write the story. When a new dragon is summoned, the portal malfunctions, bringing in an evil sorceress searching for the Codex—a reality-warping artifact.

10. DREAMS & DOORWAYS

Jaedyn just wanted a nap after all the portal chaos—but that's not gonna happen. Midgi is practicing fire-breathing skills in the garden with Zephyr, and Rowan has declared himself fire marshal. To make matters worse, Typo has slipped through a portal and is gleefully scribbling chaos across her manuscripts. Plot bunnies multiply faster than she can chase them down. As if that weren’t enough, Markus appears, brandishing the Ink Weaver’s Quill, determined to prove his quill is better than hers.

11. DRAGONS & DETOURS

When three baby dragons escape through a portal and start wreaking havoc in a suburban shopping mall—playing on the escalator, nesting in the men's department, and eating nachos in the food courtMidgi pleads for a rescue mission because they’re his people. With epic heroes, enchanted bakers, an angel or two, and a pair of emotional support Pomeranians riding in a magical backpack, Jaedyn must rally her maybe-not-so-imaginary characters to bring the baby dragons home. What could possibly go wrong?

12. THREADS & TIMELINES

The Library of Infinite Threads is in chaos. Books are missing, timelines are unraveling, and stories are writing themselves. When an evil wizard, and his even-more-evil apprentice, go in search of the Codex, reality is in danger of being completely rewritten. Willow, guardian of a cosmic library, appears in her shape-shifting form as a fluffy gray cat to protect it. And there’s another problem: Maggie, an enchanted baker, has begun echoing herself… and may be multiplying across parallel realities.
